PROMISE FOR PROPERTY TAX CAP NOT KEPT BY GOVERNOR
Instead, proposes increased spending
"Saying one thing and doing another is a great way to lose
the trust of the people of New York and I am disappointed to see that
Governor
Paterson has not lived up to his word. The people of New York were
promised a property tax cap in his State of the State address and in the
budget
amendments he released today, I see increased spending, but no tax cap.
We must fight for the people of New York and must lower taxes, not
increase
spending."
