Contact: Ms. Sue Dwyer FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Gary D. Finch, 123rd Assembly District – Re-election Announcement Today, at Pine Hollow Dairy in the Town of Genoa, Assemblyman Gary D. Finch announced that he will be seeking re-election to the New York State Assembly in the 123rd Assembly District. Assemblyman Finch has been representing his constituents in Central New York and the Southern Tier since 1999. He has been committed to issues that are important to this area. Assemblyman Finch is a senior member of the Assembly Agricultural Committee and will continue to use that position to be a strong advocate for agribusiness in our state, as agriculture is New York’s largest business. Last year he was successful in securing over 60 million dollars to assist dairy farmers at a time when milk prices were at a historic low. Assemblyman Finch was also successful in the fight against the governor’s proposal of giving driver licenses to illegal immigrants. In addition, he effectively worked to prevent the closure of Camp Pharsalia in Chenango County. The well being of the civilian employees and corrections officers that put their lives on the line everyday, in these correctional facilities, is a primary concern of the Assemblyman’s. Assemblyman Finch plans on running an issue related campaign and looks forward to the opportunity to serve the constituents of the 123rd Assembly District for another term.
